OFFICIAL STATEMENT OF THE MHPNHS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION (MAA) ON THE CURRENT “CORRUPTION CONTROVERSY” IN OUR ALMA MATER
We in the MAA have received notice of the formal complaints filed at the Department of Education (Central Office) against certain school officials about serious issues at the Marcelo H. del Pilar National High School (MHPNHS).
We are also in receipt of requests from teachers, parents, alumni, and citizens to intervene.
We want to make it known to the MHPNHS administrators, faculty, employees, students, parents, and citizens of Malolos City and neighboring towns:
As stakeholders of our alma mater, the MHPNHS Alumni Association representing all batches/classes of Bulacan High School (BHS), Marcelo H. del Pilar High School (MHPHS), and Marcelo H. del Pilar National High School (MHPNHS) is closely monitoring the complaints, the on-going DepEd investigations at the Central Office, and the resolution of the issues involved.
We are therefore advising everyone involved in–borrowing the words of Malolos City Mayor, Atty. Christian Natividad–the “corruption controversy” to let the truth unfold, and not to suppress the rights and disturb the personal peace, of the complainants and informants on the case.
Our formal letter to those concerned on this issue will soon follow.
